2024 Wedding Season

My final wedding of the year has officially been delivered and just like that, another beautiful season comes to a close. There’s something quite emotional about saying goodbye to wedding season, especially after months (and sometimes years) of planning, designing, and creating floral dreams for my lovely couples.

Now, as the colder days roll in and Christmas edges closer, I’m taking a moment to reflect on the joy this season has brought before diving into all things festive.

A Year of Beautiful Weddings

While Spring and Summer remain the busiest months for weddings, Autumn has truly come into its own in recent years—and 2024 was no exception. My final two weddings of the season were glorious celebrations of colour, with rich, bold florals that perfectly captured the warmth and depth of the season.

At the same time, the timeless beauty of all-white florals paired with lush green foliage continued to shine. This classic look, featuring elegant white Roses and soft Eucalyptus, remains a firm favourite and shows no signs of going out of style. I’ve loved creating several of these beautifully clean and sophisticated bouquets this year, each one subtly unique to the bride holding it.

The Journey from Vision to Reality

One of the most rewarding parts of my work is building relationships with my couples. From the very first enquiry to the final delivery, I’m there every step of the way, often over the course of two or even three years.

We usually start with a relaxed chat via phone or Zoom, where I get to know your vision. These conversations are a crucial part of the process, and they help me understand exactly what you're dreaming of for your big day.

But weddings and flowers come with their own set of practicalities. For example, having your heart set on Peonies for a September wedding just isn’t possible, as they’re out of season. In moments like these, it’s my job to gently guide couples, offering creative alternatives that deliver the same look and feel using seasonal blooms. This is where experience, empathy, and my floral know-how really count.

Trust the Process

If I could give just one piece of advice to all future couples, it would be this:

👉 Do your research on your vendors and then trust them to do what they do best!

When you trust your florist, your vision can bloom into something truly fabulous, even if it changes slightly along the way.

What’s Next?

As I shift gears and start working on Christmas installations, festive wreaths, and winter styling, I’m already looking ahead to next year's weddings with excitement and if you're recently engaged or starting to think about your wedding florals, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s start planning something beautiful together.

Wishing all my couples - past, present, and future - the warmest, most magical end to the year.

Thank you for letting me be part of your love stories.
